Join The Raffia Kat! A Dandenong Ranges raffia artist who is passionate about dyeing raffia with plants, food, bugs and natural extracts.

Raffia is a natural, sustainable, and biodegradable fibre harvested from the leaves of the raffia palm tree. It is both versatile and eco-friendly.

Using a coiling method, Kat will guide you through simple, slow and mindful techniques to create your own raffia basket or keyring.

 Suitable for beginners, this class will be easy-going, emotionally regulating, and free from rules! 

Each participant will take home a bundle of naturally dyed raffia, a needle, and full basket making instructions.

Have some creative fun. There is no right or wrong with raffia art.
